Rebound Chapter 20: The Docks 2

   "7amad yal maynoon shno btswe!! Shno btrd il kuwait?" She was laughing over the phone at his crazy actions. "Shlon trja3 il kuwait shno nawy etswe?" She was going to try and talk him out of this fearing it would only complicate things even more. "Razan ma3laich tkfain let me do my thing. They can't force you to marry the guy! 5aleeni aroo7 akalm oboch a56bch mnaa... bs ma3laich shno bswe, i have everything planned." He sounded very serious and he wasn't kidding about the whole thing. He was actually going to do this.

   "La 7bebi please think 3adl gbl ma you do anything maby baba ya5th fkra '3ala6 b3dain this is going to work against us." She doesn't need two things to worry about at the moment. "This is my only chance.. 5aleeni a7awl 3al a8al ymkn things change w you can decide 3ala kaifch..."

   She liked the idea of him being in the picture but it still scared her. She was scared that her father would refuse him because there is another one at the moment and he would have to wait until a final decision is made about him.

It sounded reasonable. He said he would wait till a few hours before his flight but if nothing changes then he is leaving tonight.

  Razan was terrified. She was worried and didn't want to think about how the phone call would end. Would her mother accept her decision and believe that ehya mu mrta7a. Her palms began to sweat and her hands began to shake. She called her mother and with every ring tone her heart began to beat faster. She thought about closing the phone once or twice but pulled herself together and waited for the call to be connected.

   The second she heard her mothers warm voice on the other side of the phone her heart skipped a beat but then she calmed down when she heard the lovely sweet tone in her mother voice. "Hala Razan.. shlonech 7bebti?"

   "7mdila im good mama how are u and baba? Shlon Yousef and M7md?" Those were her brothers. Yousef was older than her in 3 years and m7md was only 17. Her older bother didn't want to get married until he has completely and fully managed to secure his position in the company he works at and until he was sure he can provide everything a family need without any external help. He wanted to be completely independent even though he was already 26. M7md was about to graduate from high school and start his life at university. They were both very mature and well raised.

   After they both told each other how they were Razan wanted to get right to the point to get this over with. "Mama.. Ma aby a6awl il salfa and i just want to tell you ili b5a6ry w inshala tfhmeeni." Her mother knew it was about the guy who wants her. "Goolay mama ana adry 3an shno intay tben tkalmen, im listening." Razan felt a little more at ease, she felt like her mother is going to accept her decision. 

"Ok... well... Mama ana tsra5art w eb 9ara7a marta7t for this guy, it just doesn't feel right. He doesn't feel like the right guy for me. I know you and Baba might think he's a good guy and all and that you've heard great things about him bs in the end im going to have to spend my life with him w el9ara7a ana kilish mu mrta7a. She prayed that this was enough to convince her mother. She was looking at Aseel, hoping she might come up with something that she can add on.

   Razan was ecstatic but she couldn't show her mother how relieved she was. They chatted a bit longer and then said their goodbyes. The moment Razan got off the phone she got on the bed and began jumping up and down like a 4 year old. She has never been this happy in her life! 

   She can finally rest knowing that no one is going to take her away from 7amad. Then she remembered 7amad and his flight. She ran off the bed and went back into her room to get dressed. She wanted to tell him the great news in person.

   She texted him to know where he was and asked him to meet her at the dock. She wanted to run there. She wanted to fly. Thats she felt inside of her. Her heart was fluttering and she had enough butterflies in her stomach for her to fly and glide through the sky to go meet 7amad.

   Razan saw 7amad sitting there. He got there before her. She couldn't wait anymore so she began to run. She called out his name and he immediately stood up waiting for her. When she got closer he took a few steps towards her and held his arms out for her. He knew she had good news and he couldn't wait to hear it. She jumped into his arms and 7amad held her securely twirling her around.

   Razan was smiling from the bottom of her and whispered in 7amad's ear "A7bek 7amad". He put her down on the ground and looked into her eyes. "Law tadren ana shkther a7bch bs.. Razan i love you so much walla there is no other person that i want to spend the rest of my life with other than you. Abech as my wife, abech to be the mother of my children. I can't describe my love for you..."

   She couldn't look at him anymore. Her face was burning up from all the blushing. 7amad always made her feel like she was on top of the world and nothing else mattered. Then she remembered what she was actually here for. To tell him about what her mother said over the phone. Her eyes lit up and she tilted her head to look at him. 

   "7amad!! my mother is going to call them w etgwlhom ina mako n9eeb! I told her shlon ana maknt mrat7a and then she agreed and also said that Yousef asked around about him and he realized there were things me and Baba won't like about the guy! 5ala9 7amad no one can come between us!"

   "7mdila al7en both of us erta7na w inshala nothing else happens bs Razan ana laima al7en aby ard il Kuwait w aklm your father. Wdy akalma in person before my mother calls your mother... you might not agree bs believe me your father ra7 y7s ina it was a big step for me to actually come to him first." Razan wanted to tell him to go ahead but she was a bit hesitant. Is this the right time? Won't they suspect something with the timing of everything and how quickly 7amad went to speak to him right after she rejected the other guy.

   She decided to let him do his thing. If he believed it was ok then she was going to let him. Besides, it could really be just coincidence. "Ok 7amad ili tshofa bs please be careful with what you say. Mabe yadron ina we know each other and we are in a relationship."
