Rebound Chapter 23: What if...

Sorry 6awalt 3laikum waayyydd i'll try not to do that again :D inshala this post is long enought for you guyz and im going to post soon. I just have a few things that are occupying my mind and i can't stop thinking about them long enough to get my thinking straight.

She loved teasing him, tbe et3arf his reaction even though she knew he was going to play along. "ee 9aa7 lazm etfakren... ma awa9eech fakray 3adl inzain bs mdam btfakren fe shay a5thaa mnech..." She thought about what he might want from her but she didn't know "Shnoo hal shay ili tbee??"

   "The ring i gave you lama you said yes!!! mu btfakreen ya3ny you take back the yes fa im taking back my ring!!" 7amad knew she would say no and admit to her approval. "LAA2! kilish ila the ring! you can't take it back.. no nooo mara7 a36ekyaa hehehe!" She loved that ring because it symbolizes the their decision to spend the rest of their lives together. He can't take it back no matter what. She will always keep it and wear it even if god has other plans for them.

   7amad laughed so hard at her reaction. She didn't expect that at all "Haa 3ayal engool ina laima al7en your answer is a yes mdam you want to keep it? tara 5ala9 there is no going back! i expect the same answer lama my mother calls.. mu an9dm haha" She felt like she needed to tell him her feelings. "6ab3an mara7 a'3ayr rayi w 7tan lo god throws something else at us and has other plans for us in store you still wont take it back. I love this ring and it will always remind me of you and our pure love. I will always wear it lo shno y9er bl dnya l2na 6ol 3omry ra7 a'6l a7bk."

   He liked how she could tell him anything and wasn't afraid of confessing what she truely feels. "3omry mara7 a5tha mnech, i was just joking. If it doesn't remain our engagement ring it will still be a gift from me to you and i never take back gifts lama a36eha 7g sha59 mn galby."

   They had a normal chat after that until he got home. They said goodbye and he promised he would call her later on after he had lunch. He made sure she ate properly cause she has lost a few pounds recently since she has been stressed out with university and all of the other things going on.

   Before he had lunch he called his grandfather to let him know how things went and 7mdilla he was very happy for him. He had the best lunch in so long and spent a little time with his family and his younger brother since he had missed him greatly. He had afternoon tea with his father in his home office and caught up with the company his father owns and was filled in with everything. Even though his father hasn't mentioned this yet he knows he is planning to hand over the company to him after he graduates.

   "Yuba ana madry itha omi galatlek wla la2 bs ana nwait atzawaj w fe wa7da eb baly." He thought his parents should know now or at least his father since the meeting with Razan's father went as planned. "Hathy ilsa3a ilmbarka w ee omi galalty inek tbe Razan Al-X ili ma3ak eb amreeka 9a7?"

   "Ee 9a7 w galtly inkum et3arfon omha w oboha ba3ad... yuba ana knt rad 7g shay mu3ayn knt abe aswe eb nafsy bs mu 7g iljam3a.. maknt aby agoolkm 3shan mat7awlon et'3ayron rayi la2na ana knt m8tne3 bl 8arar ili et5ath'ta..." He didn't know if his father with disagree with his decision but he hoped that he would respect his decision. "Ana yait 3shan akalm obo Razan eb nafsy w a5tha mna ilmwaf8a gabl ma omi etdg 3ala omha"

   His father was disappointed at first but he then understood why 7amad did it. He wanted Razan's father to know that he really wants Razan w shareeha. 7amad told his father that Razan's dad agreed to this and is only waiting for Razan to make her decision and they expect a call in about 2 weeks because thats when Razan will be back for her easter break. 7amad went back to his room and spoke to Razan for a while then went to sleep as he has a flight the next day and wants to be well rested.

   7amads flight back went smooth. Razan's mother had called her a day after that and told her about 7amad. She thought that Razan would be rejecting this guy the way she did with the one before so she tried hard to convince her and explain to her that this is the right thing for her. Razan called a few days after and told her mother that it is a yes. Her mother was over joyed. Everything was going to be official when they got back to kuwait. 

   Their days were normal. Nothing out of the ordinary or special. They would go to classes and spend most of the days together. Planning things, talking things through about when they get married. They would do the usual, late lunch or dinner and just hang out either by the docks or at home watching tv or at a cafe. But one of those days stood out.

   It was two days before their flight back to kuwait. They went out for dinner at an Italian restaurant and then decided to go buy a few movies, chocolate and ice cream and stay at home and watch them with Aseel. Razan felt bad for not spending a lot of time with her and she knew that when they got back she would be spending less time with her with everything that is going to be happening.

   Razan wasn't entirely herself during that day. She was distant and 7amad noticed but he didn't mention anything. He knew it was just stress but it was actually something else that was pulling her into a different world. She wanted to mention it a few times throughout the day but she kept quiet. It wasn't the time to argue and bringing this up now will only cause problems especially that they are both silently stressing out about this whole engagement. They are worried that they would have to face obstacles which would delay the big day.

   During the movie at home Razan didn't pay any attention to it. Instead she was looking at her ring and thinking. Thinking deeply. 7amad began to become upset at the look he kept seeing in Razan's eyes and he couldn't take it anymore. They haven't kept anything for each other and this isn't any different. Something was running around in her head.

   "Razan... Are you going to tell me whats wrong any time soon?" He whispered into her ear not wanting to disturb Aseel as the movie still hasn't finished. Razan looked up at him and gave him one of her captivating smiles "There is nothing wrong. mafeeni shay" She kissed his chin and placed her head back onto his chest as 7amad tightened his hug around her waist and pulled her closer to the chest. "You've been staring at that ring all day and your mind has been in a million different places i know you very Razan. There is something that you are thinking about that is scaring you...." He didn't want to say it but it was true and he had one thing in particular that might be the reason for this "...Are you scared about getting married to me?"

   Razan was taken aback and didn't expect that question at all. How could he question her decision. She pulled her body up from his chest and looked in deep into his eyes. "Hell no, i can't wait to get married to you and i will never question my decision to saying yes to you." She kept looking into his eyes for a few more minutes to reassure him that her love for him runs deep into her veins. It fills her to the core of her body. Without him her heart would not be beating. It was like the oxygen her body needs to function.

   7amad felt a bit better that that wasn't what was bothering her but he still isn't convinced that their isn't anything inside that her head of hers. He pulled her head down and placed a warm loving kiss on her forehead and allowed her to lay back down on his chest. She fit perfectly.

   "Intaw bskum swalef! aby a6al3 w afham shga3d y9eeer!!" Aseel's eyes were glued onto the screen but they must have disturbed her for her to suddenly get mad at them. "hahaha shfech faj2a 3a9bty maglna shay bs inshalaa bnskt 3shan 5a6rch" They giggled at her when she suddenly added "SSSHHH!"

   They remained quiet and 7amad endmaj bl film marra thanya but Razan didn't even know what the movie was about.. She didn't watch a single minute. Instead she thought again about the real reason that was keeping her distant today. What if? What if 7amad was still not ready for being committed to her for life? What if there were some pages in his life that haven't been turned over? What if he still thought about her? What if he never got over her completely? What if he realizes that he still wants Jenna when it was too late?
